"Birds of a Feather"

Reading from Napoleon Hill the other day, I saw these words: "Go into any cheap boarding house district in any city and there you will find people of the same general trend of mind associated together.  On the other hand, go into any  prosperous community and there you will find people of the same general tendencies associated together."

Each of us seek comradeship with people of our own like nature.  Thus, negative, self- pitying, introverted people find others like themselves for fellowship.  Time together is spent talking of defeat, condemning the successful, pinning the blame, prophesying failure and planning ways to assure fulfillment of their prophecy.

If we are confident, aggressive, knowing what we aim for, we will seek and attract this kind of companionship and partnership.  Time together will be spent talking of ways to succeed.  Words of encouragement, inspiration and motivation will flow freely.  The success mechanism will be stimulated in each person present.  These will not be afraid of challenges or who gets the praise.  These are the achievers.

The philosophy you espouse will attract the people who agree with you.  Evaluate your goal, your aim, your purpose.  As Paul said, "Let us press on toward the goal set forth in Christ."  When people of this intent flock together, each will stimulate the others to greatest heights.
