"The War Is Won"
This is my Father's world,
Oh let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong seems oft so strong
God is the Ruler yet.
This is my Father's world
The battle is not done...
These words were penned by Malthie Babcock in 1901. Words of encouragement. Words of praise. Words we need to take to heart.
Let us remember this is God's world and He is the Ruler. We do not serve an absentee God. Let us consider the phrase "The battle is not done." Unlike the earthly realm in which battles must be won before winning the war, in the spiritual realm the war is already won. This is the theme of the book of Revelation. Satan has already been soundly defeated. The moment Jesus Christ arose from the dead, Satan was crushed. The war was won. However, the battle for each and every soul is still raging. We often think of hell as a place where Satan is the ruler and he will enjoy ruling over the eternally damned. This is so far from the truth. Hell will be a place of torment beyond our imagination and Satan will be one of the punished, not the punisher. He is battling to win your soul that he can at least win a battle and have company for eternal misery.
Do not give Satan the satisfaction of winning the battle for your soul. Commit your life to the Ruler of all. Do what is necessary to receive God's grace and salvation. The war is already won. Will you spend eternity with the Victor . . . or the loser?
